Swamiji completes his talk on the Mahayajnas [five great sacrifices]
Follow these five Mahayajnas everyday and observe chastity and purity. The gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, [Lord Shiva] prostrate to people who do this. They become helpless in front of a woman like this. Take Sati Anasuya who with one mantra changed Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh into little children, they suckled her breast and then she sent them back to Lakshmi, Parvati and Saraswati. My prostrations to this kind of woman again and again.
Householders you are blessed. If it were not for your merits, on which to build their lives, sannyasis [monk, Hindu Swami] would be absolute dust.
Nowhere in the scriptures will you find that a woman tempted a holy man. Only silly gods tempted them. Silly gods sent kinaras and gandharvas to tempt the sages Vasishta and Vishvamitra. But no female, in the human body, tempted a holy man in the scriptures. Then why did the gods do this? Because they were so fearful of their own position.
Hail to those pure mothers. I pray again and again, 'O Lord, if you can give me fifty opportunities to wash their feet I would do it because they were dharmic [righteous, pure] females. Hail to them and always hail to those gods who assist in keeping that chastity.'
